This history walk with dedicated markers in front of homes and supportive signage around the neighborhood offers visitors a glimpse into the rich history of the south side of Fort Wayne. Each of the stops listed below displays a bronze and granite marker with a brief history of the location and original residents. The Williams Woodland Park Neighborhood received a Best Practices Neighborhood Initiative grant through Leadership Fort Wayne, Inc., the City of Fort Wayne and High Performance Government Network.

Stops on the Tour
The Beltline Trolley ran south down Calhoun Street and west across Creighton Avenue to bring residents from the edge of town to downtown businesses. It is credited with aiding in the economic development of this area of the city and the subsequent construction of the beautiful structures in our neighborhood.
